YOUR PRIVACY MATTERS TO US
CustomPartNet, Inc., a Maryland C corporation with its principal place of business in Rockville, Maryland ("CustomPartNet," "we," "us," or "our"), thanks you for using the CustomPart.net website and the free, interactive engineering and manufacturing cost-estimation tools, calculators, and Part Gallery available through it (collectively, the "Site" or the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you. It should be read together with our Terms of Use, which governs your access to and use of the Site and is incorporated herein by reference.
By accessing and browsing the Site, you signify your acceptance of this Privacy Policy.
CustomPartNet may change this Privacy Policy from time to time; any changes will be posted to the Site, and we encourage you to review it periodically.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

1.2 User Content
The Site's estimator tools and Part Gallery allow you to submit part designs, specifications, dimensions, material selections, cost inputs, part images, CAD or model files, and related data (collectively, "User Content"). 1.3 Automatically Collected Information
We automatically collect certain technical information when you use the Site, including your IP address and information gathered through cookies, as described in Sections 7 and 8 below.
2. USE OF USER INFORMATION
CustomPartNet may use User Information for internal purposes, such as compiling demographical statistics. CustomPartNet may distribute User Information within its own operations but will not share individually identifiable User Information with third parties, except as described in Section 4 (Aggregate Information) or as required by law.
CustomPartNet may use your User Information to inform you of special offers and upgrades that may be of interest to you. By using the free Service, you acknowledge and agree that CustomPartNet may add your email address to its mailing list for this purpose.
If at any time you wish to "opt out" of receiving marketing communications from CustomPartNet, you may do so by following the unsubscribe instructions included in each email, by sending an email to customerservice@custompart.net, or through the contact page on the Site. Please note that due to lead times on certain mailings, you may continue to receive communications for a period following your opt-out request. Opting out of marketing communications does not opt you out of transactional or service-related messages.
3. USE OF USER CONTENT
By submitting User Content, you grant CustomPartNet a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to collect, store, compile, aggregate, de-identify, and analyze User Content – alone or together with User Content submitted by other users – for purposes including identifying trends in manufacturing methods, materials, part geometries, and costs; developing, training, and improving cost-estimation models and predictive analytics; and generating benchmarks, statistics, and other aggregate or de-identified insights for CustomPartNet's internal business purposes.
CustomPartNet will not publicly disclose aggregate or derived data from User Content in a manner that identifies you or attributes specific User Content to you, except as described in Section 3.1 (Part Gallery) below or as required by law. This use of User Content is further described in, and governed by, our Terms of Use.
3.1 Part Gallery Display
If you upload part images to the Site's Part Gallery, CustomPartNet may display, reproduce, and distribute those images on the Site and in related educational and promotional materials, solely for illustrative and educational purposes (for example, to demonstrate manufacturing processes or cost-estimation examples). CustomPartNet does not sell uploaded images to third parties for their independent commercial use.
3.2 No CAD or Part File Downloads
CustomPartNet does not make the original uploaded part files, CAD files, or other native design files associated with User Content available for download by other users. Images displayed in the Part Gallery are made available for on-screen viewing and educational reference only.
4. AGGREGATE INFORMATION
CustomPartNet may share aggregate, de-identified information about our users – such as the percentage of visitors who are buyers versus vendors – with advertisers, business partners, sponsors, and other third parties. This aggregate information is used to customize content and advertising on the Site and to deliver a better experience for our users. Aggregate information shared under this Section does not include User Content analysis, which is addressed separately in Section 3 above.
